Guide to Yesiloz Village
Turkish Holiday-Rentals choices
For your Turkish Villa Holiday
| We strongly advise that guests who are coming on holiday print off information about what they would like to see as well as information about the places they would like to visit. We suggest that guests bring an up to date guide book which are always available at the departure airport. Information is available at the villas, but the information on the website is much more detailed and up to date. A detailed map is essential and any good guide book on Turkey will have one. It is much easier to get a guide book in the UK than in Turkey. |

It is true what they say about unspoilt areas. Yesiloz is in a time warp, yet every year we see changes, however it has not lost it warm welcome and friendly ambience. The locals sip tea, watching the day go by, not a care in the world. This is the life!! Guests assume these people are poor yet many own large farms, and shares in some of the big hotels along the coast.

There are two local mosques where you can visit or pray. All the locals are Moslems and you should respect their place of worship, otherwise they are very western and welcoming. There are lots of things to do a little further a field. There is a local bus service which will take you to Alanya in one direction and Gazipasa in the other. Both are well worth a visit. The drive to Gazipasa is wonderful. There is the old historical sit of Iotape on the way. The wealth of archaeology, the stunning forested coast line and impossibly blue sea, the gentle friendliness of the people who run the road site restaurants and the delicious cuisine mean that even before you end the 10km journey you have had a day out. You can also go inland but you will need a car but a visit up into the local mountains is well worth a day out. What you must understand is that most of the locals have very little money to spend and this is useful because it means that almost all the local amenities are unspoilt and such things as beaches are free. In addition whereas in Alanya there are lots of trips on Boats etc and good quality cruises etc in the more rural part the local people will happily take you along fishing for free in much the same way as you would never thing of charging a stranger on a train to sit and talk to you.

| How to get to the Villas from Antalya Airport. |
All the Villas are very close to the main road that goes between Antalya and Mersin. These two city are two regional capitals and the road is mainly dual carriageway. When you leave the airport, there is only one exit, take the directions for Alanya/Mersin. You stay on this road for about 120km. It is mainly dual carriageway and you will have the beach on your right most of the way. When you get to Alanya, carry on going towards Mersin for about 25km and you will get to a small village called Yesiloz. The Villas are on the left and the beach is on the right. Normally we suggest that you either have a transfer or ring the contact number when you get to Alanya and one of us will meet you at the village. Most guests ask us to arrange a transfer. This is the best map of Alanya we could find. If you have a better one please email it to us |
